Limit of options in Dropdwon

Question

Good morning. I'm using a Dropdown to select a city of a country. Initially, I was used a list with over 1200 elements in there, but now, I need to show more than 12000 cities, and if I charge in the dropdown, the app is very slow and in some cases, will stopped. How can I show all this cities in my program? Is there any element that can replace it that offers me the same functionality and does not block?

In next release 0.27.0 we will be changing Dropdown control to use a different flutter widget (DropdownMenu) which has search and filter features. Your scenario will not work there yet, but we will look into how it can be done with in the new dropdown control.

the two features search and filter are meanless just for several items in the list acutally. Supporting editable dropdown input value is a basic function just like tkinter has and also a configurable 'height', these are the real features we need.

i just figure out that three month ago a lot of developers are complain about the new dropdown, is that complicated?
