Avoid initial space(s) in TextField ("input_filter" and "Regex")

I'd like to know how I can avoid input spaces just in the first character using:

input_filter = ft.InputFilter(allow = True , regex_string = r"^  -I TRIED A LOT-   *$")

For example, this works but I can't remove all character, always remains one:

input_filter = ft.InputFilter(allow = True , regex_string = r"^\S.*$") ,
