Newbie - How to get reese84 cookie from immoscout page

Hello there, newbie here.

I have been able to setup search for immowelt but not yet for immoscout. So far, I just tested the program by running without chapta solver and immoscout cookie.

At the moment each immoscout search return this: "Got response (401)"

I was wondering if the reese84 could fix this but anyway I am not able to find it. If I look in my cookies when Immoscout page is open, this is what I have:

Hi,

I didn’t find a solution myself. My issue was posted before yours, and I’m stuck in a similar situation with no response so far.

I also tried bypassing the bot detection using CapMonster but still couldn’t get through. Just wanted to share in case it helps.

I think the reese84 method is outdated and therefore no longer works. Now you might need all cookies or the whole session of the browser, but I don't know. I solve the aws captcha.

Not true, I used it successfully.
As the guide says you need to be a registered user, and be logged in.
The description of how to get it is outdated however (for Chrome). Instead of Network > Cookies it is in Application > Storage > <Immoscout-URL> > there you can find reese84 (worked for me as of 29.03.2025).

I am using Windows 10 with Chrome. So I can only tell you with Chrome.

However judging from your image, you should use Local Storage (Lokaler Speicher).

@thelayeredmind Thanks again! There really seems to be a significant difference between Safari and Chrome. I also couldn’t find the reese84 cookie in Local Storage—I checked every possible location. But thanks to you, I now know that browser behavior can differ quite a bit.

@philipempl Glad I could help. But I am still a bit buffled how reese84 was not found. I am convinced it is not due to different browsers, as they should be one and the same internally in terms of features and specifications, just present and give access to that same information differently.
