FDS Visibility Output Results

Hi all,

I have modelled a warehouse fire with a propylene fire reaction and have defined soot yield as 0.059.

I have loaded a slice file in smokeview and the output graph is indicating that my visibility is 0m at the beginning of the simulation. As the simulation runs into completion the visibility increases progressively to 30m as the building becomes more smoke logged.

Is there an issue with my FDS Code or is this simply fixed within the Smokeview settings?

Is there any VISIBILITY Device file in the model that verifies this?

Which version FDS and Smokeview are you using? If you have Pyrosim, is the result the same in Pyrosim Results?

Are you running the current release? If you are not, try using that. If you are, can you provide your input file? We cannot readily say if it is an input issue or a smokeview issue without knowing your inputs.

Thankyou for your responses. I was using the outdated version of Smokeview. My issue has been resolved when downloading the latest. Thankyou again!
