What is NetX

NetX is the software platform used for holding digital images and media associated with Field Museum collections and projects. It is used for the FMNH in-house DAMS and Public Portal for museum media.

The In-house DAMS is a website where FMNH staff can search, browse, and request or download Field Museum media. It is accessible via these URLs:

• LIVE: https://dams.fieldmuseum.tech/ – refreshed daily from emufmnh (live EMu environment)
• TEST: https://dams-test.fieldmuseum.tech/ – refreshed manually / ad hoc

The Public Portal is a website where the general public can search, browse, and request/download public FMNH multimedia.
