Any experiences with new setup page (since v1.0.0)?

It is recommended to start with a fresh installation:

For a new / clean installation

• just clone repo again to a specific subfolder of /var/www/html of your choice
• migrate your settings simply by copying local.config (if existent) to new location.

Added

• brand-new setup and welcome page for easier setup and configuration instructions 💯 🎆

Changed

• notably updated readme with more comprehensive help / info
• minor dark mode improvements
• extended descriptions and help/instructions on error
  (- since v0.10 revamped user config options (major change requiring valid permissions set on /var/www/html - see Lastest release (v0.10) "unable to open file" #22 or installation instructions ❕ )

Fixed

• auto-detection of missing permissions for retrieving advanced system information via vcgencmd
• small improvements on settings

Especially with regard to the setup page and a universal approach of detecting correct prequisites for the dashboard, individual tests would be helpful - therefore: call for testing ❕

On the first setup page, I could not process the Next. Have to refresh the page a few times.

The alert-info Theme setting was not in place and block the click.

The issue happens only first time initial setup/install. I will try 1.0.1 when time permit. Will wipe the exiting installation and re-install again.

With the latest 1.0.1, I don't encounter the above mention issue. Everything straight to the end.

Background info
I have RPi Dashboard install on /var/www/html/dashboard, nginx and PHP 7.3 is installed.

What I did

$ sudo rm -dr /var/www/html/dashboard
$ git clone https://github.com/femto-code/Raspberry-Pi-Dashboard.git 
$ sudo mv ~/Raspberry-Pi-Dashboard/* /var/www/html/dashboard/
$ sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/dashboard/
$ sudo chmod -R 775 /var/www/html/dashboard/

access the dashboard from browser...

Great to here @wannadrunk ! I would only remark one thing: you are not able to edit the files under your dashboard folder manually by your own user anymore. This does not has to be real problem, but I just wanted to note.

In order to allow your user (pi etc.) to write/change/modify files within that directory manually you could do the following:

1. Add your user to group www-data:
   sudo usermod -a -G www-data <yourlogin> (replace <yourlogin> with your username)
2. Change ownership as follows:
   sudo chown -R <yourlogin>:www-data /var/www/html/dashboard/

This should work for dashboard folder while granting the minimum need of permissions (for all other web folders).

Thank you, @femto-code, for remark. Actually, I have the root account as owner. And it doesn't matter to edit as we execute through sudo.

The typical initial Apache permission is www-data:www-data. I guess it is the security concern to prevent any vulnerable code to exploit the whole server.
