Add import STL file option

Hi, thanks for creating CascadeDesktop project.
Can you help me for adding import and show STL format file to the project?

Hi, it doesn't make much sense to load STL to OpenCASCADE. Why do you want to do that? OpenCASCADE was designed to manage BREP formats (STEP, IGES) . STL is a mesh format, that's why it's a not good idea to try to load it to this project. I think it is possible somehow, but it is bad idea anyway, because all main functions (like Bool operations etc) will be unavailable to STL. You'd better find some suitable software for processing STL files.

I need to open source C# 3D viewer software which can read STEP and STL file format. I do not need to use functions like boolean operation.
I also checked your Litecad project but the problem is that when I open the STL file with it, the program is very slow.

Ok, I see your point. Can you pls provide your STL files (for performance testing)? I'll see what I can do. I have a pretty fast drawer of mesh models using GPU buffers in my GeomPad project, so maybe I'll mix some of my projects together and you'll get what you need.

JFYI, you can now load your model into LiteCAD, and it will render fast (import → mesh (gpu))

I've replaced the default OCC drawer with a new hybrid one. Now you can load any meshes (obj, stl) into an OCC scene, as you previously requested.
