how to override sanitizeurl in Linknode?

I’ve integrated LinkNode into my editor, but when I try to use URLs with protocols like ftp://, news:// etc., they aren’t being added correctly to the href just about:blank. After investigating, I found that LinkNode sanitizes the URL, which strips or replaces unsupported protocols. Is there a way to override this behavior or bypass the sanitization to allow custom protocols?
