This issue is related to Dimension.get_boundary_box().

You have then asked about appending text to a Dimension. This is nothing to do with Dimension.get_boundary_box().

Please note that DrawingDimValue.get_bault_text() and DrawingDimValue.get_ps_text() do not work in 0.9.0. This will be be fixed in 0.9.1. This update is available in the developement branch.
