SolarEdge Inverter: sunspec: subdevice 1 not found

Describe the bug

When starting evcc, I get the following error:

[main ] FATAL 2022/10/06 21:54:49 cannot create meter 'grid1': cannot create meter 'template': cannot create meter 'custom': power: sunspec: subdevice 1 not found

It looks like the issue is coming from the https://github.com/volkszaehler/mbmd, file: sunspec.go#L76

d.subdevice is: 1
devices has 1 item in the array

Is there a missing config attribute I need to add?

Steps to reproduce

Prerequisites

• SolarEdge inverter, with MODBUS over TCP Support enabled on the inverter following the instructions PDF.

Run evcc detect

evcc detect brings up the inverter:

You don't have a network meter, so you can't call it up via the inverter either.

Several years later I’m also running into this exact problem with our Solaredge inverter. Did you evert manage to resolve this?

Whats your physical setup? Do Ou even have a grid meter? OP didn‘t…

I've managed to get modbus TCP/IP connectivity with my SE inverter but not by going through evcc configure. This manual yaml entry works.
