Problem
I have a tuxhorn tubra eTherm P 3 kW to maximize the self-consumption of energy from my PV system. I have just taken a closer look at the documentation and checked the control parameters. As documented in the installation instructions, the controller is connected to the sensor in the house connection cabinet, which measures the feed-in power. I have also seen that there are LAN/VBus converters available from tuxhorn. I installed evcc last weekend so that our electric car charges automatically using only surplus PV energy. Here are the sorted priorities:
The current difficulty is that the eTherm P is not subordinate to the electric car and regulates “too quickly”, so that evcc currently only rarely starts the charging process, as the power consumption of the instantaneous water heater is counted towards the total consumption of the household.
Desired Solution
I don't know how the LAN/VBus Converter works. And it's price is pretty high in my opinion. Is it possible to connect a Shelly for power measurement in order to tell evcc the power consumption of the eTherm P. Evcc should then calculate the power consumption without the eTherm P to know how much power is available for charging the car.
I look forward to your reply.
