Add new meter device: Niko Home Control

Hello, is it possible to add Niko Home Control as meter? I currently use this at my home for energy monitoring.

• retrieve your available Niko Home Control locations
• retrieve your available Niko Home Control actions and devices
• control your Niko Home Control actions and devices
• receive status information from you Niko Home Control actions and devices
• receive notification messages from your Niko Home Control installation

And more specifically: Device model – Energy Home as described in https://mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu/content/hobbyapi/documentation.pdf --> Represents the electricity Home functionality

• The API uses MQTT as transport with JSON data objects for application communication
• The API is secured and requires authentication via JWT tokens, which expire after one year; we recommend renewing the token every year via the Niko Home Control programming software

Also an API for system integrators is available, but that is potentially not relevant.

Seems you can configure your own custom meter for this purpose.

The English documentation how to configure this is very limited I have no clue where to start. Is there any example I could have some inspiration? I am willing to learn of course.

Thanks, I'll try that, but how do I address the CA file import? I would assume I need to provide a path?

there seems to be also a parameter CaCert: possible, but I think it must bei the key and not a path

@VolkerK62 , thanks for the pointer again. I still tried a path and it seems to do something, but I get an error "failed to add ca to cert pool"

Update: Got it working looking true the source code. Many thanks @VolkerK62 for helping out!

1. Add "Insecure: true" and
2. change from caCert to Clientcert. Below the code:
