ethers v6 function for getChainId()

I am writing a test for my smart contract and when I use signer.getChainId(), It says:

TypeError: signer.getChainId is not a function

ethers version 6
hardhat development environment

You will want: (await signer.provider.getNetwork()).chainId to get the chain ID from the connected Provider. You might have to assert or check to make sure your signer has a Provider attached though.

ethers.utils.splitSignature() is not supported in ethers v6 i guess. Any solution?

Yes, ethers.Signature.from. See https://docs.ethers.org/v6/migrating/#migrate-signatures.

It worked. But now this error comes:

TypeError: signer._signTypedData is not a function

Use signer.signTypedData. The underscore was because it was experimental in v5.
