Ethers shims available for v6?

A React Native frontend implementation with Ethers v6 requires @ethersproject/shims (v5).
Is this expected? Is there a version of shims package included with v6?

There isn’t a version of the shims specific for v6 yet as I’m planing an Ethers react native specific package that includes the shims and native implementations of all the slow operations. I just haven’t had time to throw it together. But the plan is to have one package in lieu of ethers for RN that does all the setup.
