Can I call Contract.on from a specific historical block to get old events and continue listening for new events?

Hello, I've seen a lot of ways to get historical contract events as well as listen for future contract events. But in my situation, let says my listener crashes for a day, but I know what the last block the listener listened to, how could I restart the contract.on listener at the previously listened to block catch on the previous days events and then keep the listener going to continue listening for future events? Thanks!

I am also using a websocket provider for context and using v5.5.1
