Ether transaction does not fail but cannot locate hash

Hi,
The transaction did not fail anywhere and returned the response object with the hash. but the hash comes up empty when i check in etherscan. Can someone please take a look and tell me if i am missing anything ?

I don’t see it mined. What makes you think it was mined without any error? Keep in mind sendTransaction returns once the network has accepted your tx, but before it is mined. You need to use await tx.wait() to wait until it is mined before it is certain to show up on Etherscan.

I tried it but got the below error:
TypeError: tx.wait is not a function

Is there a reason for not getting mined?
I copied the code from another project where this is working and sendTransaction results in the mining almost immediately and wait is not used there.

It looks fine, but where are you getting the fee data from?

The tx.wait() should exist. In your above example it would be await response.wait().

response.wait() is not crashing anymore. It has been waiting for 5+ minutes now...

I also tried some transactions yesterday and even they never got mined. The sendTransaction() response object always returned a hash. But never mined.

What if you use a node that is known to work? It could just be the URL you are using isn’t broadcasting to the network. Can you try using provider = new InfuraProvider("goerli").

I will try the infuraProvider.

The strange thing is that the provider i was using ( const provider = new ethers.providers.JsonRpcProvider(providerUrl); ) works perfectly fine in a parallel project and the transactions are broadcasted to the network.
