tx.wait() is not resolving nor reverting

I have made a script to do contract calls in intervals, it went well for few iterations, then it gets stuck at tx.wait(). I have tried by giving the higher gas price and gas limit but still stuck. Probably, not picking up by the validators. I'm running it on polygon network.
Any Idea what can I do?

Hey @Iamshashvat, just to check, can you see if you're not passing a higher nonce than signer.getTransactionCount('latest')? If that's the case, then the network has to wait for a lower nonce transaction to be mined before this transaction.

Oh you have to have inverted commas around the hex values to have it as a hex string, otherwise they are interpreted as numbers in javascript.

we get receipt, and from receipt I want to decode the error data.. data as "Can only lock round within buffer"

I see you mean you want to get the revert reason for your transaction (I thought you are getting some error with provider.getTransaction).

Any execution information (other than the boolean: success or failure of the transaction or events) is not stored on the blockchain. Revert reason is one of the execution information, so you can't simply retrieve them. You have to replay the transaction, using an archive node. You can check out geth's debug_traceTransaction.

One way hacky way to get error data is using eth_call:
