Error: notifications not supported while awaiting transaction approval

Im getting this error and i can't really find much information about this. Does anyone know what causes this?

const tx = await wbnb.approve(router.address, 1) // works and returns data correctly
const receipt = await tx.wait() // this returns "Error: notifications not supported"

What provider are you using?

Im using ankr's bsc api (free version if thats relevant)

I’m unfamiliar with that library. I think this issue might be with that provider? There is no error in ethers like the one mentioned above…

Which other provider would you recommend that i can integrate BSC with? Ankr is an api and i think it's pretty popular so it's strange that it's causing issues, but i also think that it might the cause.

I have a small BSC package coming out soon, but it isn’t read yet.

You should be able to use the standard JsonRpcProvider with a bsc JSON-RPC endpoint, but I have personally never used BSC. They probably have a discord (or GitHub page?) that may be able to help? Fee free to include links here, so future bsc peeps know where to look. :)
