Impossible to change customer's password

hello

a customer can't change his password in front office, keep getting "Invalid current password" error
tried on Magento CE 1.9.2.4

config:

• use PHP native...: Yes
• rehash legacy: Yes
• hashing cost: 10

find it strange that this problem exists and nobody had it, maybe I did something wrong

need to extend Mage_Customer_AccountController::editPostAction() and replace

if ($customer->hashPassword($currPass, $salt) == $oldPass) {

with

if ($this->_getHelper('core')->validateHash($currPass, $oldPass)) {

Can confirm, Magento uses the wrong method to validate hashes in this controller
