Thanks. The only explanation that I can come up with is that it's because of the recent build failures but I haven't been able to figure out why these occur.

I thought it was set to only show CRAN packages but I really have no idea. That build failure is tricky. I would guess from a skim its our Makevars vs a newer version of rstan but that is only a punt

Because of the way we pull in cmdstanr (via additional_repositories) this is using the dev versions of rstan and stanheaders which I fear might be behind this error - unless there's a way to get cmdstanr from a universe with stable versions I don't think there's much we can do.

Make a new universe with just cmdstanr in it and reference that instead?
