Get authenticated for contribution

I have a completed feat branch for adding a feature to the the stepper. I cant seem to get git to authorize me to so I can push to origin and create a PR into develop.

I've tried my email, username (Bond-Addict) and either my github pass word or a PAT that should have full access.

Is there something else I need to do?

p.s. I'm using Github for Desktop as my git GUI

Figured out that I needed to fork the repo. This is my first time contributing to a open source project and I'm new to Github.
