AFAIK, gas meters all around the world show consumption in either cubic meters or cubic feet. Then your provider usually recalculates it to Mega Joules and that calculation can vary significantly from one billing period to another. So, I am not sure how you are comparing EMS figure with it. I am not saying you're wrong, just curious because I would like to know how to do it for myself... |

Hi everyone
Originally posted on Discord but seems a more active discussion here. I'm sorry but I'm not an experienced modern day developer so my questions may seem a bit dumb but always good to learn new stuff whilst figuring out how to get things working.
New to EMS-ESP, great interface (E32) and just hooked up my Greenstar 30i boiler to my Loxone system. Had been thinking of ways to use Loxone to control boiler since it was installed 5 years ago and wish I’d discovered this earlier.
I’m only a few days in but it looks awesome and I’ve already managed to dynamically change the flow temp to match UFH or hot water demand.
I’m sure I’ll have loads more questions but for now do the entities display raw data direct from the boiler or are they "derived" values from some calculation within EMS-ESP.
Does anyone know what the “energy heating” entity is actually measuring? Is it the kWh heat output of the flow from the boiler or is it the gas consumed? I’ve tried matching it to my actual gas consumption on the meter but the EMS figure is only about 80% of gas consumed.
Thanks
