What about implementation of Edge/OnPinStateChange detection? On this event send status immediately via MQTT or run some script. Use case: flood detection, gas sensor, over temperature, over preasure -> alarm activation.

Sure, pinChange is a schedule onChange analogsensor/nameOfDigitalInput, the schedule action value can check for the pin the state.
Mqtt publish single publishes the analog pin in an own topic direct after change. Or set publish time of annalog to zero to publish the json if one pin changes.
