Custom fields not getting updated 

We are showing custom fields for our instance of the enrollment upon approval, but the user profile does not get updated affter submitting / approving application. 

We have not used this feature before, so are not sure if it would have worked before upgrading the system/plugin or not. 

We are using the 4.1-a version of the plugin on moodle 4.05.
