Bigger icons

Problem

I have an install on a box to be used on the TV
to avoid the whole fractional scaling mess, dock icons, and font size, are scaled up. This allows to really finetune to needs, and is absolutely amazing

However despite bigger font and panel size, the icons displayed on wingpanel stays tiny, making it difficult to see and click

a very similar issue on a convertible laptop with a touchscreen - It is difficult to tap the right icon there, and requires to try sometimes a few times

Proposal

similar as to the dock, an ability to request bigger icons.
the ability to change not just font but UI size would be an elegant solution to size-related issues

In the future such capabilities could even allow for a synchronized and easy "have everything bigger"

Don't have it handy, but I ran a poll a little while ago on mastodon related to scaling symbolic icons along with text size and most people seemed in favor of it. So after we port to GTK4 we could add like -gtk-icon-size: 2em or however big it is to the .composited-indicator css and that should fix it

Scaling along with text is what makes the most sense - i dont see any use case where someone need to read text more easily but doesnt need to read symbols more easily
