What would you like to do?

Want to suggest an extension of the function handling element with regard to native support for automatic replies to messages.

Why would you like to do it?

There are situations in which people should refrain from answering the phone to answer messages (for example, while driving or while eating), because otherwise they could pose a danger to themselves and others. To prevent this, a new function is needed.

How would you like to achieve it?

How this would be realised technically in the end, I can't really estimate, but my thoughts on how it should work logically would be:

1. A time period (from date 1 to date 2 and/or time 1 to time 2) can be defined as well as a freely selectable text that would be sent automatically if the condition "is the defined date" is met.
2. Private and/or group chats can be selected to which the built-in auto-reply function should be applied ("All", "Selected only", "DM's only", "Group chats only").
3. Multiple profiles can be created for multiple occasions:

• "Driving"
• "Driving school
• "School"
• "Volunteer work
• "work"
• "Sleep"

4. Element remembers the time period and sends the defined messages to the correspondingly selected groups accordingly.

Additional context

A "built-in automated response" function, as I suggest, would also have to be implemented in the iOS, Web, Windows and Linux versions.
