Excellent ideas. I concur that implementing some of these suggestions is essential to reduce or null spam invites. |

I opened a discussion on this topic and didn't see this one until afterwards, so I'm adding what I posted here instead. The invites are a problem and the mass mentions are another too. What would you like to do? If more than the number of people are mentioned, it's treated like a regular message and if your settings are set to "Mentions and Keywords only", you would get no notification at all. Why would you like to do it? How would you like to achieve it? Currently when this happens I mute the room and right click the room to mark it as read, but then I need to remember to unmute the room afterwards and since this occurs so frequently it's not an ideal system. |

The following features are the ones that came to mind while thinking on how to avoid spam inviting:
That about sums it up. This request of mine is in response to a notorious Matrix spammer who spam invites many people from different servers to rooms with CSAM and other types of illegal content. Having to wake up and see 48 invites on an old account is quite tiring.
Finally, sorry if there already is a similar request. None appeared on the search for similar discussions link.
