I believe this got fixed in v0.0.14 but it didn't "just work" out of the box (with 575.64.05) as I had this same problem too at first on Fedora 42 running KDE Plasma.

After messing about with environment variables, swapping from Wayland to X11 and messing with Firefox configuration settings, the problem was eventually resolved. When I switched back to Wayland again, everything remained working as expected thereafter, with nvidia-smi dmon showing working-as-expected decoder use whenever videos are played.
