Server already running on EGI Binder

Hi @rsignell - this isn't related to the eds book resource per se. The message is because of an existing jupyterhub server in your browser. My suggestion is to stop it in https://replay.notebooks.egi.eu/hub/user/user-name replacing user-name by rgsignell3, and then relaunch EGI binder.

@acocac , that worked great! When I went to:
https://replay.notebooks.egi.eu/hub/user/rsignell3/
I found I already had a server running, as you suspected. I was able to "stop my server", and then "start my server", changing from https://replay.notebooks.egi.eu/hub/user/rsignell3/tree to https://replay.notebooks.egi.eu/hub/user/rsignell3/lab to get the JupyterLab interface I prefer.

I think this happened because I ran one notebook from the EDSBook via the "run on EGI binder" link, and then ran another notebook from the EDSBook via the "run on EGI binder" link, without shutting down the first server.

Sound about right?

@rsignell glad to hear the suggestion helped! It seems the EGI binder is restricted to a single JupyterHub session per user. This means users have to shutdown/stop the server before launching the EGI binder of a new notebook repository.

For context, the initial version of EDS book handled notebooks into a single environment, however, due to the increase of notebooks (and flavours of dependencies), we decided to create separate repositories to launch their computational environments separately.

@sebastian-luna-valero - I wonder if there's a better practice to handle closing a JupyterHub server when the EGI binder launches a different GH repository/path.
