EDC <-> IdentityHub API documentation

We would like to develop an EDC extension to interact with another implementation of an IdentityHub.
We are already aware the IdentityHub Management API.

Would it be possible to point us to the EDC <-> IdentityHub API documentation, or the interface definition in the Connector repository, that need to be implemented to develop such an extension ?

What do you mean by "interact with another implementation of IdentityHub"? Identity Hub implements the DCP specification, so at the protocol level it uses the message types defined in the former.

Ok, then EDC must also implement DCP to talk to an IdentityHub instance.

Is this DCP implementation in EDC part of core, or limited to the identity-trust extension ?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. Identity Hub is an implementation, DCP is a specification. I also don't understand what you mean by "talk to the IdentityHub instance."

EDC is a set of components containing features implemented as extensions to a modularity system. These components can be combined to create runtimes. The documentation explains this in detail, so it would be worthwhile to invest time in understanding how the modularity system works.

There is no DCP "implementation" in "core" EDC since there is no single "core" EDC, nor is there such a thing as a single "DCP" implementation. DCP specifies a number of logical services that will typically be implemented in distinct runtimes operated by separate entities (there are cases where those services may be collocated, but those are special). It would also be worthwhile to invest time reading the DCP specification carefully to understand those nuances and distinctions.

If you could take the time to (re)read the documentation and DCP specification based on my comments and then formulate your questions accordingly, we can try and provide a better answer.

The question is which are the extensions used in a said runtime such as the one in the MVD, in which the control plane is interacting with the Identity Hub ?
Also, as this might also help, if possible to point out in the documentation where it is specified the interactions between DSP and DCP, either on the implementation side or the specification one ?

Again, sorry, you need to specify exactly which interactions you are referring to. DCP message exchanges are explicitly defined in the specification. Please read that carefully, make sure you have grokked it, and then come back with more details. Part of the reason you are having trouble following the EDC code is unfamiliarity with how DSP and DCP work.
