Description
Hi, when i playback YouTube videos in the web browser, even in worst quality, 144p, lags and stutters on my little old eee pc, Windows 7 OS 32-bit. The same thing for streaming videos from warez sites, even in SD quality=many lags.
The solution, since I watch a lot of YouTube and anime warez streaming videos, is to use the great extensions:
External-application-button
https://github.com/andy-portmen/external-application-button
where I add the HERF parameter for PotPlayer or VLC,
and
Open in VLC
https://github.com/andy-portmen/open-in-vlc
capable of detecting the link of HLS video embeds and sending the stream to VLC or PotPlayer and other media players:
To use these two wonderful, vital extensions, we need to install Native Client: I installed it and everything works perfectly!
https://github.com/andy-portmen/native-client
But sadly, the new version of Native Client no longer works with Windows 7 OS 32 bits :
I get an error message:
I contacted the very generous Mr. @andy-portmen, who added new commits and gave me advices on how to fix this problem..... I sent him the logs of this problem :
In my Windows 7 32-bit OS, I click the Windows key + R / cmd, then I put the "install.bat" file in cmd windows, and I get this result: I try to manually copy the message because I can't select it: (Note: I renamed the windows.zip folder to nativeclient.zip because there is already a windows.zip folder in C:):
"C:/users/asus-pcadministrator/ >c:/nativeclient/install.bat
"Downloading https://nodejs.org/download/release/v 18.20.5/node v 18.20.5 win -x86.zip
Using PowerShell

Downloading https://nodejs.org/download/release/v 18.20.5/node v 18.20.5 win -x86.zip.....
'curl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, an executable program, or a command file.

But sadly, the problem remains and persists, and Mr. Andy tells me he doesn't have Windows 7 OS, so it's difficult to debug this problem.....
So we hope please great generous Mr. @e3kskoy7wqk and great generous Mr @ZepopaOwleMukasa can find a solution to this problem and will help Mr. Andy to fix this poblem, Thank you!
