Possible solution for poor Chromium browser performance

I was having this problem where the Chromium browser version 136.0.7054.0 was performing very poorly, especially when watching YouTube videos. So I decided to find something that could fix this on my own, and Chrome flags were the solution.

I opened chrome://gpu/ and saw that OpenGL was disabled. Out of curiosity, I decided to enable it to see if it would change anything, so I went to chrome://flags and searched for "Choose ANGLE graphics backend", clicked on the "OpenGL" option to enable it and restarted the browser. After I restarted, I went to YouTube and magically the videos stopped freezing.

Certain systems perform better with one or another backend API, this is nothing new. On my laptop, d3d9 performs the best, on my regular computer, d3d11 performs the best. This is something everyone's got to figure out for themselves and their specific system. This really isn't an issue, its like that on regular chromium too. There is a reason you're even able to switch between APIs in the first place.
