Description
Four motivations
- make searching easier
- have higher quality and relevance
- a place to ask about best library/practice about a unfamiliar field
- a source for blogs
Detailed motivations
- We are not indexing weekly and relies on GithHub's built in search. Manually sample good library/course out in an awesome list makes searching easier. Sometimes I don't even remember the keyword, only a rough category.
- There are many awesome list out there, however, a lot of the items are no longer actively maintained or has outdate designed and only being used because it came out very early (i.e. logrus, pkg/errors. I used to keep a notes for myself about quality of packages, but it would be good to share it so other folks don't need to waste same time. Since folk in dy & sjtu has similar study/work background, the quality and relevance of the list would be higher
- For language/tech that I am not using, it would be good to know best practices from people using it daily, i.e. cpp from @htfy96 , rust from @codeworm96 , 炼丹 from @arrowrowe @raspberryice etc. Asking people with expertise can avoid focusing on irrelevant stuff in a new field
- We are not writing blog, we can pick some lib/practice from the list and write a short blog of the design and implementation behind them. Considering I spent 9h watching anime last night (18:00PM-3:00AM), no time is not a good reason for me anymore ....
