Video embeds sometimes not working in Telegram

For the Hawk Tuah one I can confirm this is a Telegram issue: if you send the file yourself or through a bot, it does not properly recognize the file as media (even when using sendVideo explicitly through the API, it will be surfaced as a generic file). I remember an issue in the Telegram bug tracker from years ago where this was reported for some videos. Perhaps something to do with being such a short video? I've had many weird issues with moov atoms in Telegram video's.

For the MP4 GIF I speculate it's also a bug on Telegram's side.

I reckon the only way to mitigate it is on vxtwitter's side is to recode the video and serve that -- but that takes a whole lot of processing and you are still not guaranteed that Telegram recognizes it correctly this time round, so I'd advise against that.
