How are the data files generated?

Are the scripts for generating the current data files available somewhere? Re #10 I'd like to experiment with other storage formats than .py, but I'd rather not have to write the parsing code myself.

E.g. the upgrade to Unicode 14, 0d1ac72, is just a commit with 400k lines appearing from seemingly thin air, so that doesn't help me much. 😁
