Autofill won't save passwords

Using version 0.56.1 of DDG browser. When the autofill pops up, the Save button is disabled. The only way of the window is by hitting the Not Now button. This behaviour is consistent and has been this way since I started using DDG about a month ago.

It is May 2025.. I'm using Version 5.234.1 of the DuckDuckGo browser on my Android v14 phone. The DDG browser exhibits the same behavior as described in the November 2023 comment above: I cannot paste any data into either a Username or a Password field on the logon screen. The only way I can login is to manually type UID and a Password. I'd like to keep using DDG as a default browser, but this long-persisting bug makes that impossible.
I can paste credentials placed on the clipboard by my password manager into login screens rendered in Chrome and Firefox and ARC browsers, but not DDG.

I can no longer use autofill in DuckDuckGo. It seems to be a browser issue as for the chrome browser a new setting was introduced to make it work again.
