Very slow download speeds compared to downloading straight via browser #304

Downloads via DownThemAll! are much slower compared to just downloading straight via the browser. I've noticed this in both Waterfox and Basilisk. I've tried playing around with the network settings, but there's no difference. Anyone else experience this?
The website I'm downloading from right now can barely hit 8 MB/s on DTA!, but it reaches over 60 MB/s when I'm downloading directly through the browser.
