Manually disposing request.Body after it's been buffered to a different place

Hi, I assume it's safe but you never know, is manually disposing Body stream safe (after one copied the data elsewhere) in the middle of processing a request? Won't it cause some double dispose issues or some other shenanigans?

No. The Body can be set to any Stream, so you can't assume it's safe. Further the current stream is an implementation detail, which may change in the future, can be adjusted per protocol, compression, etc.

What are you trying to achieve?

Cleanup resources when they are no longer used. We only read the body in one part of the request but our requests can be open for kinda long time (up to minutes), so we want to dispose as soon as we read the body.
