Troubleshooting Basic installation

I recently (by which I mean today) opened an issue regarding the fact that, for some reason, 8.2.2 does not run on my Windows 11 (Intel). I used the bare bones template to report it, which asks for a screenshot, but since I can't get the program to run at all, I am not sure what else to provide for information.

Blair quite reasonably pointed out that as described the issue was undiagnosable and closed it, so my question here is, what can I do to improve the chances of diagnosis? All I know for sure is that reinstalling 8.2.1 got me back to a working installation.

Anyway, any pointers about steps I could take to help diagnose the issue will be appreciated.
