The activity status is coming on as "online" and not "streaming"

I assume you are using discord.py-self 1.9.2. Update it to alpha version by pip install git+https://github.com/dolfies/discord.py-self.git. Plus you don't have to import from discord import client

how do i check what version im using? I installed what you said and its still not working.

You can check the version with pip show discord.py-self. And I think url is the problem, it only works with video or stream url
