How to handle multiple spools?

I was wondering about how this plug in will deal with multiple spools. For instance, I have a spool that is about done and I bought more of that material so when I print this, I assume I would start with the original spool but when that material runs out, what will trigger or what do I have to do to have it track when I put the new spool in place?
