Based on the code, the ENV_NODE_FILE variable contains the path to the panel installation directory. This is not entirely correct, since by default the node is installed in the /opt/remnanode directory. It would be good if the script checked the node installation directory relative to the panel installation directory. For example ../remnanode

Все верно, данная переменная содержит путь установки панели.
По умолчанию (по документации) отдельно устанавливаемая нода находится по пути /opt/remnanode - это так.
В скрипте бекап и восстановление файла .env-node сосредоточены исключительно на способе установки панель+нода на одном сервере, в поддержку скрипта установки от eGames, где этот файл находится в директории установки панели.
