What's Changed

We're adding the Advanced section to this release, which will be the platform for several future features. For now we're adding two inputs, a Page Type dropdown and an Additional Context text area. Let's talk about each of those in turn.

Page Type

Building webpages is getting more complicated every year, and the tools used to create content have to adapt to that. Since we're giving AI context to give you the best results, telling it the page type can be a game-changer. When you're working on a homepage or landing page, you want to use different language and focus on different aspects than you would for a blog post, or a product page. We give you that flexibility now. With 15+ page types to choose from, you can narrow down the intentions for the page you're working on.

Additional Context

This is going to give you a lot of flexibility to tell the AI exactly what your page is about. This goes beyond the page type to allow you to give detailed prompts to our AI to expand even further on the point of the particular page you're on. We don't recommend writing more than a paragraph or two, but that's up to you.

I've set it up so that the Advanced section starts closed, but stays open if you've opened it on a page before. Should it just be open by default all the time now? I wanted to give people an easy way to clear the Additional Context box and return the dropdown to Homepage, so every time you close the Advanced section and reopen it, the values clear.

What's Next

The sky is the limit now that we have the Advanced section to work with. There are many ways that we can make this app better for Webflow content creators, and that's what we're going to focus on.
