not working in latest version of godot

I just updated godot from 4.3 to 4.4.1 and dialogic 2 just stopped working entirely. Every time I try to start a timeline the text box just doesn't show up.

text box not showing up, even when using "play timeline" button,

• Godot Version: 4.1.1 stable
• Dialogic Version: 2.0 Alpha 17

This is happening to me as well, though I will note the bg audio from my timeline does start to play despite none of the sprites or text boxes showing up.

Dialogic 2.0 Alpha 16, Godot 4.4.1, Windows and Mac both showing same behavior
