Access color of character\

i wanted to access the color that i have set for the current speaking character, in order to apply it for the text , tried looking at the doc
and i tried accessing it via
DialogicCharacter.color

but i couldnt

thee error i encountered when i used: DialogicCharacter.color
Cannot find the member "color" in base DialogicCharacter

func _ready() -> void:
var color = DialogicCharacter.color

This version is very old by now, I recommend updating. However, it is not the issue here.

You need to reference a specific instance of a DialogicCharacter first, your code does not make much sense.
