I used this to get SDL2 working via environmental PATH rather than having to fiddle around individual project settings:

Afterwards, Visual Studio Community should load the dethrace folder and auto-detect CMake and load it like a solution/project.
Builds!
(PS: The default C++ Desktop workflow suffices, no need for that Game workload)
