May 2025: Rails 8.0 - The 'Shiny and New!' release

Headline news is of course the last step (for now!) in the recent series of sequential Rails upgrades - we're now on the latest current release, Rails 8.0, having started at 6.1 in January this year and worked our way through 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2 in the last few months.

Also featured this month:

• Upgraded pagy to current (9.x) series (in Upgrade pagy to current (9.x) series #1957)
• Added and expanded Rack::Attack filtering to save error logs filling up with botspam from hacked WordPress sites (in Add very simple rack::attack filtering #1960,
  More WP-blocking rack-attack rules #1961, Add wp-includes to the list of WordPress crap to ignore #1963, and Remove older anti-PHP code, expand Rack::Attack anti-PHP code #1964)
• Plus various gem updates, whenever dependabot offered them
