How should we manage the templates seed?

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere, but I didn't see anything that looked related either here in GitHub or on the wiki.

I recently created a new workspace by using the Dendron: Initialize Workspace command and choosing the default option that includes the seeds/dendron.templates directory. When I attempted to add my new workspace to git, I was surprised to see that the dendron.templates directory was already a git repository.

Is there guidance on how we are supposed to mange this nested git repo? Should I add it as a sub-module to my main workspace repo?

I went ahead and added the template seed repo as a submodule to my Dendron project repo.
