The Natural Language and Computational Linguistics group at Informatics, University of Sussex comprises around 20 researchers woking on machine learning and hybrid symbolic-statistical approaches to NLP.

Work at Sussex related to DELPH-IN includes the RASP parsing system for English (which includes a module for output of Robust MRS), and the COGENT project on wide-coverage generation; as part of the latter, John Carroll is collaborating with Stephan Oepen (Oslo and Stanford) on further development of the LKB generation component.
