Details of Confidence Score in Prediction

I am working on building a question and answer system and in the reader part I am using the roberta-base-squad2 model. I did not re-train the model and still in the prediction part I get a confidence score. The question is: the confidence score with respect to whom it is obtained or what does it mean when I don't have labels? How is it calculated?
